Acrylic Render

What is Acrylic Render?

Acrylic render is composed of plastic polymers additives to the traditional render mix of sand, lime, cement . This compound has been developed as a variation of traditional cement renders, providing a number physical advantages including water resistance, flexibility, and adhesion. Acrylic rendering provides an attractive look to a home and it can be applied in a range of ways, allowing you to create different surface finishes - from smooth to textured.

Advantages of acrylic render

The biggest advantage of using acrylic rendering on the exterior of your home is that it is less likely to crack over time due to its more flexible structure. This means there is a decreased chance that natural expansion and contraction of your home is will cause hairline cracks throughout your render.

Another benefit of acrylic rendering is that it can be applied to a wider variety of substrates including painted walls, concrete, timber, fibre cement and blueboard. When applied, it takes just a few days to cure compared to weeks for traditional render. The set acrylic render then allows material underneath to “breathe”, allowing for a drier and healthier home, furthermore, possessing superior water resistant, removing the possibility of bacteria and fungi growth.
